Unit 1: arts challenge for the film industry, Part A: Identify and agree an arts challenge for the film industry

BFI  Film Academy silver arts award challenge.

My BFI film challenge is to understand the roles of a film crew the preparation before shooting and the details of roles involved within the making of a film and what skills are needed to work in those roles efficiently.
This my challenge because i have never worked on a large project before this size and wish to widen my skills and knowledge on roles and careers within the industry to know what is out there for me to go for.

some strengths and weaknesses i have will be something i wish to help growth and get rid of to make myself more skilled and knowledgable within my craft i end up choosing to go down and follow as a career.

strengths:
- created a few features before so know advanced filming techniques and software.
- have creative shot ideas and also up for new creative cinematography.
- understanding time management and the process of making a film from orignal concepts in pre production to editing and colour grading in post production.
- huge devotion to film and media industry, getting own equipment soon.

weaknesses:
- Havent worked with a large crew before or in a pro shoot before only semi - pro shoots with small crews.
- the recording of dialogue within film and musical choices within films and shorts.
(want to learn skills on sound recording and the mixing/editing of sound in post)
- sometimes find it hard to accept other peoples ideas and concepts within in a group, i like to take lead.
